Compassion in Action: Recognizing and Responding to Patients with Mental Illness

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) supports and educates America about mental illness, a serious medical condition that affects one in four families. This program was produced under a grant from the Minnesota Hospital Association to NAMI-Minnesota to help hospital intake and Emergency Department personnel recognize and respond with empathy and compassion to patients living with mental illnesses.
